Ape's
Society

Apes'
Society is an acutely observed and well-performed piece of physical
theatre set two million years ago in an animal community, when apes
and men were far less distant cousins.
However, given that apes and pre-homo sapiens do not (or did not)
do very much of interest in their daily lives, an hour of acutely
observed and well-performed physical theatre about a community of
apes and pre-homo sapiens is decidedly uninteresting to watch. Perhaps
this piece will be of interest to prelingual children, whose level
of consciousness and social interaction is on a par with the 'characters'
on stage. However, given that prelingual children lack volitional
attention, they'd probably be bored rigid after five minutes too.
Definitely one to miss. Go see the apes at Edinburgh Zoo instead.
