Cocktales
follows the lives of a small circle of friends, three gay men and
a straight woman, as a rogue bit of rough alternately tempts and
taunts them with his sado-masochistic ways.
Loyalty gives way to desire, and the breakdown of trust and friendship
ensues. On the surface this is a play about morality, but it does
not attempt to moralise. Depth is attempted though investigating
the emotions and sensations of gay male S&M sex. The story within
the play is very simple, acting as a vehicle to explore the play's
subject. It is produced and acted in a charming manner which makes
it enjoyable to watch.
