Another buddy movie with a clichéd ending. Is this really what the world needs? The directorial debut of Scott (son of James) Caan has some bright spots in it, but soon loses its way. Caan (who as well as directing, stars and wrote the feature) has a breezy film-making style, uses a terrific soundtrack and includes a hilarious turn by Val Lauren as Christian, a Jewish loser. There are even some nice moments with Jeff Goldblum playing it straight as a kindly therapist. But as
a whole, Dallas 362 just doesn't work. The two buddies Rusty
and Dallas are a violent, obnoxious pair who believe that as long as
they stick together they will be invincible. The friendship, needless
to say doesn't last and comes to a tragic end.
