Festival!
Festival!
This week on CW, a first tranche of reviews from this year’s Edinburgh festivals. Matt Trueman reviews a characteristically eclectic selection of shows from the annual three weeks of theatrical madness that is the Fringe, from explosive buffoonery to impressionistic whimsy, and story-based stand-up to tautly-strung drama, not to mention inexplicably popular dross.
More to come from the Fringe and other festivals next week. Meanwhile, Tessa Mayes is inspired by the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at the BBC Proms in London.
