Overflowing minds
Overflowing minds
This week on CW, more Edinburgh Fringe reviews from Matt Trueman, for the third year running an Allen Wright Award-winner for his writing about the festival. In London, Miriam Gillinson reviews OperaUpClose’s Don Giovanni at Soho Theatre. Nicky Charlish reviews the National Portrait Gallery’s Glamour of the Gods: Hollywood Portraits exhibition, while Scott Pepe reviews the science fiction exhibition Out of This World at the British Library.
And in anticipation of a strand of debates on the Battle for the Brain at the Battle of Ideas in London on 29-30 October, Robin Walsh reviews Ray Tallis’ book, Aping Mankind: Neuromania, Darwinitis, and the Misrepresentation of Humanity, arguing that the human mind is not simply ‘in the brain’.
